Yorkshire Tyre Fire, The blaze at the site around the size of 20 football pitches started yesterday morning and firefighters tried all day to keep it under control. Plumes of smoke from the massive fire at a recycling plant in Sherburn in North Yorkshire were captured from space by a NASA satellite. Public health officials said the blaze did not pose a health risk as smoke spread over a wide area but nearby villagers could expect an unpleasant smell.Full Story...
